We’re big fans of FAQ’s – mostly because 9 times out of 10, you’ll be able to get what you’re looking for without too much effort. Here are the top Frequently Asked Questions we get about Sidewalker Daily’s Travel Creator Program in case you’ve been wondering the same.

How does the Sidewalker Daily Travel Creator Program work?

Once you’ve filled out the survey (which you should have received once you signed up) – you’ve been added to our personal Travel Blogger/Influencer list. Don’t worry, we would NEVER give anyone, not even Ryan Gosling (ok maybe Ryan Gosling) your personal information. 

When companies, destinations or brands approach us about press trips, projects, partnerships or special events involving influencers, this list is the first thing we whip out to give them recommendations on who to work with.

Who we recommend depends on many things, for example: (a) what the client is looking for in an influencer/blogger/creator; (b) the kind of content or support they need; (c) the type of trip or event they are hosting; and (d) where an influencer is located. 

For example, sometimes the client is only looking for travel bloggers based in Dallas to attend a media dinner…. or they may be looking for someone who specializes in exotic locations and video creation for an individual or group press trip.

Basically, we play matchmaker so if you haven’t heard from us yet, don’t fret – you’re still in our blackbook of influencers/bloggers/creators that we go to first. Keep in mind that opportunities (big and small) pop up all the time so you never know when we’ll come knocking.

What if I don’t have a lot of followers?

Our motto is:

EVERYONE. STARTS. SOMEWHERE.

Even if you have a smaller audience, you’re what we consider a micro-influencer. We have clients come to us who host smaller scale events and are looking for local influencers to invite. This happens often, so definitely fill out the survey so we can recommend you when these things pop up. 

Also, you may not have a huge following now but trust us, you never know who is going to come up fast (it may be you!).

Are Press Trips for groups of people or for individuals?

Both! Again, all based on the client and their needs. Some clients like to host group trips and some like to offer individual trips because there are less logistics involved.

Keep in mind that if you’re invited on an individual trip and request to travel with someone, 9 times out of 10, that person will either need to be an influencer or a photographer/videographer, so we can count them as production. Sometimes, plus ones are not available but it doesn’t hurt to ask!

Who decides which influencers get chosen for an opportunity?

The client is ultimately the one who says yay or nay but it doesn’t stop us from always recommending influencers from our Travel Creator Program first!

Do bloggers/influencers/creators have to pay to be part of the program?

No way! We’re here to help you, not collect from you.
